Background and Approach
Javier Recuero is a photographer based in Madrid who combines his professional background in the technology sector with the development of personal photographic projects and commissioned work. A selection of projects can be viewed in his portfolio.
With more than 15 years of experience in the technology industry, he has built his career working with solutions from multinational companies such as IBM and currently at Dell Technologies, managing large accounts and digital transformation projects in complex environments. This professional trajectory, shaped by planning, precision, and process management, has directly influenced his approach to photography.
His work is characterized by a structured and reflective methodology, where research, human connection, and conceptual development are essential parts of the creative process. He combines technical rigor with a personal perspective aimed at exploring the human dimension across different contexts, both in personal projects and professional collaborations or commissions.
In recent years, he has developed his photographic education at LENS School of Visual Arts (Madrid), deepening his practice in portraiture, contemporary photography, and documentary language with various professionals in the field.
He has participated in artistic projects and collaborations with other creators, including documentary work for painter Rubén Lartigue’s catalog and the cover artwork for the single Lexatin by the rock band Dèla Rous.
His work has been presented in group exhibitions in Spain and Latin America, including Galería Recreo (Madrid), Sala Verdi (Montevideo), Studio Arriaza (Madrid), and LENS School of Visual Arts.
He currently combines his professional activity in the technology sector with the development of personal photographic projects and commissioned work.
